What regulates the valuation of business and assets:
Valuation services in Ukraine may be provided by companies with a Certificate of Valuation Entity and certified evaluators on their staff.
The valuation of business and assets in Ukraine is ruled by the norms and requirements of Law No. 2658-III “On Valuation of Property, Property Rights and Professional Valuation Activity in Ukraine” dated July 12, 2001, National Valuation Standards and other regulations on property valuation. When using the outcomes of an independent valuation abroad, applying the International Valuation Standards is mandatory.
When carrying out an independent valuation, Kreston Ukraine’s experts comply with the requirements of the national laws and international standards, as well as Kreston Global quality standards.
Carrying out valuation:
To carry out an independent valuation, a package of documents shall be prepared and provided to the evaluator:
- entitling documents;
- technical documentation;
- information about the assets subject to valuation;
- information about goods and production;
- financial statements;
- business plan (if available);
- company structure, information about subsidiaries.
The list may be adjusted and determined, considering the specific engagements and goals of the valuation.
