Project objective
Our client is Varto, an online platform and marketplace of verified assets that provides access to investments in wind power plants located in the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine.
The objective of the project was to prepare an independent opinion for potential investors regarding the financial model of the wind energy project, including an assessment of:
- the validity of the key assumptions used in the financial model;
- the logical structure and design of the model;
- the accuracy of mathematical calculations;
- the project’s investment attractiveness indicators.
To achieve this objective, Kreston Ukraine conducted:
- validation of operational and financial indicators used as input data for building the business model;
- a detailed review of the financial model structure;
- analysis of the project’s investment and financial indicators;
- verification of the accuracy of mathematical calculations;
- sensitivity analysis of the model to key influencing factors.
In particular, the following aspects were examined:
- macroeconomic indicators;
- technical parameters of the project;
- operating cost indicators;
- scenario calculations and stress testing.
The analysis confirmed that the financial model is based on relevant, well-substantiated, and achievable input data, has a logical structure, and contains no mathematical calculation errors.
The calculated ROI indicators and payback period correspond to realistic project development scenarios.
