On October 3, 2025, the All-Ukrainian Round Table “Dialogue Between Theory and Practice: Developing the Competent Auditor of the 21st Century” took place. The event was organized by the Audit Chamber of Ukraine and the NGO “Professional Organization of Auditors, Accountants, and Teachers of Accounting and Control Disciplines.”
The event brought together leading representatives of the academic community and audit practitioners to discuss key challenges and prospects for the development of the profession.
Kreston Ukraine was represented by Andriy Popov, Partner and CEO, who emphasized in his speech the importance of retaining young professionals in the auditing field. He drew participants’ attention to the issue of talented specialists leaving for related sectors — finance or IT — and stressed that only real incentives can keep young people in the profession: opportunities for development, career growth, and fair compensation.
Separately, Andriy Popov highlighted the role of partnerships between audit firms and universities, as joint projects, internships, and mentorship programs are the drivers that can shape the future of the profession and motivate young specialists to build their careers in auditing.
